Lulu targets Cycle Omania’s customer base!

We are thoroughly honored to know that the marketing guru’s of Lulu are finding it so difficult to use their own influence to market to their customers that they find Cycle Omania as a competitor (which we are not!), even though we market to a different group based on the quality of bicycles.

Type “Cycle Omania” and see what results come up… you will see “Ad”, which says “Shop Cycle Omania”, so you will think you are shopping cycle omania until you click Lulu’s hyperlink.

We do not yet sell through Lulu. InshaAllah in the future, when we reach our potential we will sell around the Gulf and Lulu maybe our marketing arm. But for now, to buy from Cycle Omania, you have to come to our location at Al Hail on Al Kharais Street, the road on which Technical Insitute is at, driving from the technical Institute, towards Nesto.

We do refer customers to Lulu to buy the Skid Fusion brand, almost 2 or 3 times every day. So we think this is a good return 🙂

Of course, we are excited either way. Ultimately we try to make sure that a customer purchases what meets most of their needs and budget. So if customers buy at Lulu’s, they eventually end up at our store either for bike repairs or to upgrade their bikes, since most of the time we refer them there…

On the other hand, it is “FREE” advertising for us… in other words, if you know anything about online marketing, you will realize that this is a strategy that has backfired 🙂

To market you need to choose keywords that represent you “not another business”, they could use words like “quality bikes” which they have…, or “affordable bikes”, or “inexpensive bikes”, or “cheap bikes” or “bikes under 100 rials”, etc.

In any case, we are excited and honored that we are getting free advertising from Lulu’s marketing gurus.
