Preowned Bicycle Limited Warranty

Unless otherwise mentioned, the following is the warranty offered by Cycle Omania to all the customers whose purchases meet the criterion. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is not transferrable to another customer.

WARRANTY: Express Warranty on all preowned/used bicycles purchased at Cycle Omania for an amount of 75.000 Omani Rials or more. Starting November 1st, 2024.

Given that we start by choosing quality used bikes, we inspect them, and we service them, and fix what needs to be fixed, we don’t see a reason not to offer warranties to our first buyer for most bikes with restrictions to carbon frame bikes or bikes with carbon components.

6 Months Frame & Tranny Warranty is what we offer as standard (excluding carbon frames and carbon components). IF there’s anything that may need attention past warranty period, that woo will be mentioned to the buyer. But we hope they will bring the bike for service at least every 6 months, so that we can monitor everything and service their bikes as we do new bikes. This will ensure happy ownership and long life for the bike.

WARRANTIED PARTS & PERIODS:

Parts covered under this warranty are limited to the bicycle frame, gear shifters, derailleurs, and freewheel/cassette.

• • Six (6) months for the bicycle frame and six (6) months for the tranny = gears, shifters, and freewheel/cassette

WARRANTY NULLIFICATION:

• • The warranty is null and void if the damage is caused by user error and/or by a rider other than the person the bike is for. The rider must have attended General Use Orientation at the shop before riding the bike. If not, then the warranty on gears and shifters is null and void.
  • The warranty is null and void on carbon bikes whose frame has been subjected to the weight or force from the sides or other than down intended tubes (seat tube, steering tube)… which means no person or a thing can be carried on the top tube, or can any object be attached causing pressure to the side of the frame (items like kickstands). Nor is the bike allowed to fall on its sides or weight be put on it from either side (left or right side).
  • The warranty is null and void if the bicycle is left out in harsh climatic conditions (sun, wind, dust, humidity, and rain) which easily damage any good product.
  • The warranty is null and void if the user meddles with any parts while not being qualified to perform the action.
  • The warranty is null and void if any repairs were done at sub-standard shops due to which the damage resulted or extended.

SOME ITEMS NOT COVERED:

Warranty does not cover any wear and tear items such as;

• • Brakes (Brake pads & disc brakes)
  • Brake Cables & Housing
  • Shifter Cables & Housing
  • Tires & Tubes (punctures, road tears, or bursts)
  •  Spokes
  • Derailleur hanger
  • Pedals… etc!
