Echoing its big brothers, Shimano introduced today a revamped Acera groupset. Acera is designed for entry-level mountain bikes. Thanks to the trickle-down effect, entry-level riders profit from innovations made for high-end groupsets. The main renovation of Acera is that there is a dedicated MTB and trekking version available. A 40-30-22T crank for MTB and two dedicated gear combinations for trekking. Both feature mega 9 light drivetrains and have a better matching appearance.
Shimano Acera RD-M3000 rear derailleur with long cage. The Shadow technology provides better protection of the 9-speed RD and increases it’s lifetime. The rear derailleur is compatible with cassettes with up to 36 teeth. The wide link design increases the stiffness for smooth shifting performance and long durability.
