Goat Link for mountain bikes

For MTB with Rear Derailleur with smaller cages AND for MTB’s with LARGE rear chainrings on cassettes, like 1×11, or 1×12, a Goat Link is a must.

The Goat Link is in most cases in addition to the derailleur hanger. It provides the extra “drop” for the derailleur so that the derailleur can reach the full range of gears especially the larger chainrings on the cassette.
